Set on the lawns of the national capital’s Parliament House, Carmina Burana was the centerpiece of the Canberra Festival in 1995. The event included ritual theatre, spectacular effects, and a set featuring the Wheel of Life - an 8-metre wheel driven by fireworks. Carl Orff’s fabulous music was performed by the Canberra Youth Orchestra and a 400 voice choir. NCP events have since become a regular highlight of the Canberra Festival.
