In 1997, Hobart was the southern-most port of call for an international fleet
of sailing vessels on their round-the-world journey. In an event on the water at
Constitution Dock, fire and firework effects brought to life a scene of ghost

of the early explorers. With fears and imaginary dangers consigned to the
flames, the visitors were bid bon voyage
for the journey home.
